Hi I’m Stephanie Kostka, Broker Owner Heart to Home Real Estate.
I started my Real Estate Career in Chicago at Kamberos Associates in 1995. I was ready for a change from Corporate America so I left a successful career as National Sales Manager for a Telecom company to pursue a Masters in Social Work. Real Estate was a good choice as it gave me a flexible schedule to pursue my degree.
It never occurred to me I would love it so much! I went on to become a top producer in Chicago and graduated with a Masters in Social Work in 1999. When I moved to Milwaukee I started working as a hospital Social Worker and obtained my Real Estate License here. I have doing been both now for about 6 years.
This unique combination of skill sets makes me uniquely qualified to work with many different types of clients. What I have discovered as a hospital social worker is our older folks in transition from home to some sort of assisted living situation is extremely difficult for families to manage. My experiences walking into room after room of stressed out children, frightened parents and an overall sense of “where do I start” gave me the idea to start Heart to Home.
Heart to Home Real Estate was created to be a one stop shop for families in this difficult and often confusing position. Mom or Dad or both have lived in the same home forever, and it is time to move to a place that provides more care. As a Realtor and Social Worker with over 30 years’ experience I will be your one contact through the entire process. I will manage all the details leaving you with the ability to provide that emotional support your parents need when making this enormous change in their lives. In short, I will find an appropriate place for your loved ones, organize the move and an estate sale if necessary, and list and sell the family home.
